Goal: Remove all dings and dents and apply fresh, new paint. Over the last year, the original clear coat has slowly disappearred. Evidence of this can be seen in the pictures above (note the views of the hood).
Plans: Pound out the dents and dings wherever possible. Apply a minimal thiness of filler material. Apply a quality primer and paint.
Using PPG DP40 Primer and HOK paint and clearcoat. The color combination will be Black Diamond (MBC03) over Black (BC25).
April 2009: Began work by locating dents (easy) and minor dings (not so easy!). Pulled dents, pounded fendors and filled dings to produce a surface ready for "guidecoat".
May 2009: House of Kolor "Black Diamond" over HOK "Black". It shows very nice in the daylight!
